![]() Still, as mentioned before, the poor acting overshadows everything else. ![]() Yes this is very nitpicky, but if you're going to go to all the effort to animate proto-feathers and pycnofibers and to depict them as being potentially quite colourfully plumed, then why throw that dedication to the modern understanding of prehistoric animals out of the window when it came to animating how they moved? The azhdarchid pterosaurs in the film were a nice touch, but they too suffered from a lack of effort in their animation and understanding that adult pterosaurs were also covered in pycnofibers, not just juveniles ![]() Yes they are the ancestors of birds, but their upper legs weren't as limited in movement as modern birds they had muscles running from their tail to their femurs specifically for running, giving their legs a very long range of motion. The dinosaurs, themselves are decent it's nice that they were given feathers to match the current understanding of them, however it would have been nice if a bit more effort had been put into understanding how they moved instead if just making them run like ostriches. That's no excuse for such poor acting and directing.
